(At the left) the thickness of the pen is 0.8
(At the right) the thickness of the pen is 0.1

What is the importance of the different thickness of the pen?

In the process of drawing comics, whether drawing characters or background, this pen thickness play an important part in showing the neatness of the drawing itself. The drawing will appear more professional and not messy. Below I give examples of sketches using different pen thickness, 0.1 and 0.8.

The use of different size of pens is not only limited to 0.1 and 0.8 only. You also can use the different size of pen as well. The combined pen not only can be made between 2 pen but you can also combine up to 3 types of pen. As long as it looks neat and suitable, it is up to you to decide.
Tips: use the thick pen for outlines and thin size pen is more suitable for use as internal lines.

Pens used to drawing cartoons and comics

The picture above is an example of an ordinary pens used by professional artists to
draw cartoons and comics. Look at the bottom side of the pens and you can see the
numbers starting from 0.1 to 0.8. It shows the thickness of the pen. We can see an
example below, a different betwen 0.1 and 0.8 pen:
(At the left) the thickness of the pen is 0.8
(At the right) the thickness of the pen is 0.1
